Mulloon Consulting was commissioned by NQ Dry Tropics (NQDT) to prepare a detailed design and supervise the implementation of Landscape Rehydration measures at Mt Pleasant Station near Collinsville in Queensland. These measures form part of the Mt Pleasant Learning hub. The learning hub was established by NQDT and Mt Pleasant Station to showcase a wide range of management and landscape remediation solutions. Mulloon Consulting designed and supervised the construction of the site specific solution to demonstrate co-benefits associated with reinstating natural ecosystems through Landscape Rehydration. The co-benefits include: reducing sediment runoff, improving soil moisture, enhancing primary production and improving biodiversity. This work provides a resource and demonstration for landscape repair in north Queensland.
